Arthur Seaton spends his weekdays in a Nottingham bicycle factory, saving enough money for weekend revelry in this directorial debut from Karel Reisz. Albert Finney plays the young male anti-hero with aplomb, and it is the which has caused successive generations to be as equally enthralled with Seaton, as evidenced by the Arctic Monkeys naming their debut album after Seaton's assertion that 'Whatever they say I am, that's what I'm not'.
Also featured on this DVD is a short documentary by Reisz, We Are The Lambeth Boys, which focuses on a group of teenagers who frequent a local youth club, and is every bit as engrossing as the feature film itself.
